LEARNING ABOUT PRIORITIES AT SYCHAR 

People were coming out of Sychar and walking towards Jesus. They were curious, wanting to meet him, having heard about a conversation one of the inhabitants of their town had just had with him. 

Jesus was talking with his disciples at a well outside the town. They were concerned about other things. But he encouraged them to look at those who were walking towards them. An opportunity was presenting itself for people to discover the way of salvation through faith in him. And Jesus wouldn't allow himself to be diverted. 

Thinking about the current conditions many of our countries are being faced by at this present time. No one who is concerned about the well-being of others would have ever wanted the present circumstances to have arisen. In the middle of it all, it shouldn't surprise us if there is an increased interest in matters that are of eternal importance. May God help us who are christians to see the opportunity that is presenting itself, to share the good news about Jesus Christ.
